Our approach to land management & wildfire mitigation

Rustic Ranch Farming Company, a California-based LLC, provides customized land management solutions, ranging from the creation of defensible space and wildfire mitigation for single-family estates, to partnerships with public land stewards, in pursuit of sustainable emergency management solutions. We assemble highly-effective teams to tackle the most challenging land clearing jobs. Since its establishment as a commercial grazer, Rustic Ranch has grown its operation to include coordinated ancillary services, such as mechanical brush removal, tree care services, and wildfire behavior modeling. 

We have developed and deployed a replicable model in fire-threatened communities, which incorporates data-driven fire behavior modeling and outcomes measurement, along with the

aggregation of commercial grazing services. We believe that combining “low-tech” grazing services, with “high-tech” tools to plan and measure the impact of grazing efforts, is a great way to demonstrate that the public dollars dedicated to large-scale grazing projects have been

expended in a prudent and effective manner.
